Tony’s first performance was as Darcy (Pride and Prejudice), aged 10 in his home town of Ynyshir in the Rhondda Valley. He has gone on to play parts in several plays, from Shakespeare to straight drama and comedy. Having always sung, he enjoyed the transition to musicals and his first major role was Lion (Wizard of Oz), follwed by the title role in | He is a member of Cowbridge Operatic and has sung Ko Ko (Mikado), Higgins (My Fair Lady) and Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), all of which he played opposite his wife, Sally, and Jack Point (Yeomen of the Guard). He often sings with Sally at various charity functions through South Wales, with their good friends, Lyn and Eiddwen Thomas. | |||||||||||
Hans Christian Andersen. His major achievements on stage include the Welsh amateur premieres of Barnum and George M, where he played both demanding title roles, as well as Madame Lucy (Irene), Fred Poitrine, Prince and Val du Val (Little Me), and Mack Sennett (Mack & Mabel) – all performed at the famous Park and Dare Theatre, Treorchy. | ||||||||||||
